# Hello!

## Introduction

Initially got my start off with TryHackMe and went through a lot of boxes and rooms ranging from Easy to Hard.

What got me into it was an Advent of Cyber Room 2021 I think, a friend talked me into doing it, sort of like a competition to learn new things. Ever since then, i've kind of been hooked. Be it learning on TryHackMe, watching Cyber Security related YouTube videos, enjoying CTF writeups, even participating in CTFs that I find on HackTheBox or CTFtime.

## The problem

On my journey, I managed to encounter a severe problem doing everything, and that was me not doing my notes in an ordered manner. I lied to myself that since I'm a beginner, it doesn't matter if I write down notes, since they wouldn't make any sense to anyone else, but me. Soon after that (maybe like 5 months) I realized that I was going back to materials that I have already gone through, and not only that, but solutions to rooms, boxes etc. started overlapping for some things, and I had to go through the learning process all over again for those specific things.

## The solution

It's this blog!

I have tried writing down notes using Notion, writing down text files and compiling things down in Folders, but honestly, they just stay stuck on my VMs or the categorization sucked, so I decided to sit down and do something about it. I'm going to try and import most of the writeups and things I have on Notion, but I'm going to start with notes regarding learning materials from scratch. This blog will be my go-to for notes, learning materials, links, pages etc.
